Welcome to Until The End. We are a moderate Harry Potter role-playing site set in the Marauder's Era. Our plot is generally derived from details in the book, but as an AU site we do take liberties most anywhere we like. Those who died in the books can have a second chance at living, and those who lived are always at risk.
Tom Marvolo Riddle has long since disappeared and in his stead Lord Voldemort has risen, bringing a small army with him. The Ministry of Magic has thus far ignored the growing menace that is the Death Eaters and Albus Dumbledore has taken it upon himself to defend the wizarding community from an evil he knows is building. War is coming. Pick a side!

~ Appearance ~
Bellatrix is a combination of dangerous curves and elegant height. She embraces her height, adoring stilettos that show off her long legs and feminine figure. Her face is unique and exquisite with thin aristocratic features and a delicate nose. Her fair skin is sharply contrasted by long espresso locks often worn down in large loose curls. Her eyes are a bright blue green. The witch is never seen in any muggle clothing, but only wears the finest bespoke wizarding gowns.
~ Occupational Details~
To the public eye, Bellatrix is a Lady of Leisure - She is Bellatrix Lestrange nee Black, after all. The Lestrange and Black vaults contain more funds than she could spend in one hundred lifetimes. Being a pureblood aristocratic, she makes appearances at Ministry galas on her husband’s arm. She feigns interest in old men’s ramblings to gain information for her one true lord.
It is behind her mask that Bellatrix is able to live up to her name. The eldest Black sister serves as the Dark Lord’s right hand. She is his most trusted and devoted Death Eater. Leading attacks, coordinating efforts of other Death Eaters, and proving her worth to her Master, Bellatrix is the most active of all of Voldemort’s inner circle. Despite the sexism prevalent in purist society, no Death Eaters disrespects her without coming to regret it. The Dark Lord has bestowed his authority upon her. She often serves as intermediary between the Master and his other followers–much to many of the men’s dismay.

~ Personality ~
Patronus
Bellatrix is unable to conjure a Patronus. She once attempted the spell and instead conjured a swarm of maggots which attached her.
Mirror of Erised

Boggart
The Dark Lord informing her she has failed him and is unworthy of His mark before striking her down
The eldest Black sister is cunning and willing to do anything to achieve her goals. She is quite intelligent and excels at offensive magic. While she may be able to convince you of something with her eloquence, she does not mind using alternative means to achieve her goals: social connections, good looks, or illegal measures.
Bellatrix is known for her eloquence and sarcasm. Always ready with her sharp tongue, she can be quite cruel at times. Trix has a tendency to be very stubborn and selfish. She exhibits many traits associated with being an overly privileged child—extremely critical, overly ambitious, and possesses essentially no teamwork skills. She may always look like the perfect proper pureblood lady, but she always has a personal agenda.
Always certain she is correct, Bellatrix is a very strong-minded, strong-willed pureblood woman. She thinks often that she should have been born a man, but is overcoming the gender roles and restrictions by her refusal to conform to them. She believes the way to achieve her autonomy is an asset for the Dark Lord. To make herself more appealing to him, she has enhanced her knowledge of the dark arts. The witch quickly devours any texts set before her on the topic of necromancy, eager to expand her knowledge. She has a morbid curiosity—and an inherent bloodlust that pushes her into the darkness, into the madness. The excessive inbreeding gives birth to the instability. Though, she would tell you, it gives birth to true freedom—she sees herself almost as a god.
Her curiosity encouraged her to delve into the darkest magic—necromancy, blood magic, unforgivables— Bellatrix took great interest in the forbidden curses, and came to experiment with them. First with the tiniest animals—rodents, other students’ pets—and then in time, she took her experimentation out into the world in search of filth to punish. Though a well-time killing curse gave her quite the rush, the witch found her true joy in the Cruciatus Curse. The screams of her victims, their pleas, every sound is a delicious pleasure to the lunatic.

~ Character History ~
Bellatrix was the first born of three daughters. Her gender and ferocity has made for a very complicated relationship with her parents. Her father never quite forgave her for not being a son. She should have been the heir to the most honorable House Black. But instead, she was another burden that he bartered off. Still, she is praised by the man for her favor with the Dark Lord.
As she aged, Bellatrix grew to be quite close to her father. Certainly the most favored of his children, she learned at his knee. It was he who introduced to her to the Dark Arts–to Unforgivables–and to Necromancy. The man would not allow her to keep her wand at age eleven until she proved herself worthy. He gifted Bellatrix her first kill on that day bringing her muggle child to execute. While the ambitious little girl attempted the killing curse, she could not yet manage that magic. She was forced to settle for conjuring water and fire to put an end to the ‘animal’s’ life. But she did succeed–and was lavished with praise from her father.
It was the first of many days that would resemble that one.
The relationship with her mother is more trying than that with her father. Though the man was disappointed with her at birth and came to appreciate her more as she aged, the opposite was true for one Druella Black. She is terrified by the woman her eldest daughter has become. Bellatrix’s refusal to be the perfect homemaker, wife, hostess, and mother stands as a mark of failure against Druella. Two failures of for daughters–a blood traitor and a witch that should have surely been born a son–with only one to make up for Andromeda and Bellatrix in the perfect lady of Narcissa.
As would be expected, Bellatrix was a Slytherin during her tenure at Hogwarts--she excelled in any academic pursuit she applied herself to, which was limited number. Her true interest lay with the Dark Arts. Those she studied privately, particularly during the summers until she graduated. After leaving Hogwarts, she threw herself into the pursuit of the necromantic arts. Anything to make her worthwhile as a servant to the Dark Lord.
Nothing could have prepared the witch for her sister's betrayal. She deeply loved both Narcissa and Andromeda. She sought to teach them--to be an example of what a witch could be beyond the role of homemaker. She will not speak of the middle sister any longer--and considers her to be dead. That state of being is one Bellatrix is most committed to bringing to fruition. Both Andromeda and Sirius will die at her hands. She will not stop until it is so.
As is common with pureblood families of the Sacred Twenty-Eight, her marriage was an arranged one. She became Lady Lestrange the summer after she graduated from Hogwarts. Rodolphus understands her, in his own way. The wizard understands more than any other that perfect pure-blood society balls and a life as a quiet, subservient wife was never meant for her. She has been promised to him since birth. He was always her future—her destiny. Marriage and babies were all her father believed daughters could be of use for. He does not mind the way Rodolphus behaves with his trollops, but instead, shames Bellatrix for not holding her husband’s attention.
Bellatrix does not particularly want all of Rodolphus’s attention, but she still does not share well. It takes all the witch’s self control not to crucio most of the stupid bints into insanity. She is jealous—and possessive. Any time they are physically involved, she wants to mark him as hers— Bellatrix is in love with that idea—the idea of someone that is hers. Someone devoted to her and only her. It is a dance of sorts, this circle of possession they have been stuck in their entire lives.
Bellatrix is divided in mind and heart when it comes to the Lestrange heir. Some days, especially when she is most lonely or has been thinking of Sirius or her 'late' sister, she wishes Rod would love her. Some of her motivation is selfish. She has a very real need to be needed, desired, and wanted. A human need that she would deny, if ever questioned, because she is to be above such mundane nonsense. The other days, she wishes for something completely different. Those days she prays to these gods that she doesn’t even believe in; she prays that he will get one of his nameless whores pregnant. Then, Bellatrix would be free of him then.
The Lestrange heir would dissolve their marriage and enter into a marriage with whomever he knocked up; there was no way his family would allow anything less for the first born child of the heir of their house. But that is also one of her greatest fears. She really would be distraught if she lost Rodolphus. She really does not like the idea of forever alone. She has lost Andromeda. Losing a husband, too, would be a blow to her pride, much more than she would ever admit. The Noble House Black needs no more disgraces. She may not be in love with him, but she appreciates as husband that does not seek to limit her service as a Death Eater.
Her true love is the Dark Lord. Rodolphus is nothing in comparison. Bellatrix is utterly and completely devoted to Lord Voldemort. She gladly gives Him all of herself--her body, her magic, her soul. He is her obsession--Securing His reign is her very reason for existing.
