Welcome to Until The End. We are a moderate Harry Potter role-playing site set in the Marauder's Era. Our plot is generally derived from details in the book, but as an AU site we do take liberties most anywhere we like. Those who died in the books can have a second chance at living, and those who lived are always at risk.
Tom Marvolo Riddle has long since disappeared and in his stead Lord Voldemort has risen, bringing a small army with him. The Ministry of Magic has thus far ignored the growing menace that is the Death Eaters and Albus Dumbledore has taken it upon himself to defend the wizarding community from an evil he knows is building. War is coming. Pick a side!

~ Appearance ~
He was once described as dark and ruggedly handsome, and while this may be a bit of an exaggeration depending on your point of view, it is impossible to deny that he is attractive and cleans up well. Camulus sees himself as being something of a latter-day pirate, and is often to be found in the rough but practical clothes demanded by much travel, especially when that travel is by ship, but he always maintains himself to a high standard.
~ Portrait ~
~ Personality ~
Patronus
Silver fox; his happiest memory is the first time that his niece sailed with him. To be honest, he was amazed that his brother trusted him enough.
Mirror of Erised
He sees himself old and grey but still travelling the globe under his own steam.
Boggart
His family dead around him due to his own recklessness.
Gryffindor by nature, Camulus is not and has never been the kind of person to say no to a challenge. In fact, he is very nearly incapable of doing so. He loves to test his abilities and his wits, and constantly finds himself getting into trouble all around the globe, which feeds his desire for adventure. His family are everything to him and, no matter what he might be doing or where he might be, he would drop everything in a heartbeat if they needed him.

~ Character History ~
Camulus grew up as a middle child in a large family, raised on the extensive Sayre estates in Ireland, and the extent of the family land only served to provide the young wizard with more opportunity for adventure. From an early age, he drove his parents to distraction, always finding himself in different kinds of trouble, whether that was getting stuck up a tree or deciding at the age of four that he would run away and join the circus (he got as far as the front gate). Any hopes that this would change with advancing age and maturity were quickly quashed; all that growing older meant for Camulus was that he had more opportunities to get into a wider variety of trouble, and he certainly didn't let those opportunities go to waste. He attended Hogwarts at the age of eleven and was Sorted, to no one's surprise, into Gryffindor House, where his penchant for trouble and adventure found a happy home. His professors had little less trouble with him than his parents had done, and he found himself quite frequently in one detention or another, but he did reasonably well for all that and graduated with especially high marks in Care of Magical Creatures and Charms. After leaving Hogwarts, his first act was to indulge a long-held fantasy and buy himself an old sailing ship, which he renovated with the use of magic, adding one or two extra features while he was at it. Recognising that he could never be happy in one place for too long, it was decided that Camulus' somewhat unique talents would be best used in travelling around the world, meeting the many Sayre clients on a more personal basis and closing deals with food, wine and hospitality, which was one thing that the man was good at- and he certainly had a collection of interesting stories, which only grew as he spent more time in travelling. He was thrilled at the birth of his nephew and, later, his niece, and Camulus was most definitely 'the fun uncle', always turning up complete with a variety of artefacts from far-flung and exotic corners of the globe which he happily bestowed on family members before vanishing again, only to return a few months later with a completely different pile of gifts. When Christine was nine, she was allowed to sail with him on his ship for the first time, and Camulus was thrilled. If there was one thing which he loved more than travel and adventure then that thing was family, and this opportunity to combine the two was heaven-sent for the ex-Gryffindor. Currently, he is looking forward to a voyage to Egypt upon which he will, once again, be accompanied by his niece.
