Welcome to Until The End. We are a moderate Harry Potter role-playing site set in the Marauder's Era. Our plot is generally derived from details in the book, but as an AU site we do take liberties most anywhere we like. Those who died in the books can have a second chance at living, and those who lived are always at risk.
Tom Marvolo Riddle has long since disappeared and in his stead Lord Voldemort has risen, bringing a small army with him. The Ministry of Magic has thus far ignored the growing menace that is the Death Eaters and Albus Dumbledore has taken it upon himself to defend the wizarding community from an evil he knows is building. War is coming. Pick a side!

Standing at 6', he's rather tall and rather slender. He has some muscle, but his build is more elegant than bulky. With pale skin and dark hair, his light grey eyes stand out and it's clear to see his constant amusement in them. He's generally very handsome, in a classical way, so Antonin is sure he'll get himself a wife soon. Vince doesn't think his looks are the problem.

~ Personality ~
Patronus
He's questioning the likelihood of producing one, he's never tried. Probably a fire salamander, though. Vika has lots of fun, and he does have happy moments with his family, but his magic is dark and thus taints the patronus' essence.
Mirror of Erised
He's a man of simple tastes, really. He'd be happy living out a comfortable life with his family, though otets insists on furthering the cause. He figures a settled down life when everything is done.
Boggart
Probably his sister dying? She's more than just his sister, she keeps him in check. Her dying would mean more than just the loss of a companion, but also the loss of most stability in his life.
Skills: He insists that blowing shit up is a skill. Magically, he's very skilled, a deadly dueller like father. He's generally fond of experimenting with potions and alchemy. He's bilingual in English and Russian. Vince flourishes best in practical things.
Weaknesses: He's got a hard time concentrating and sometimes has the subtlety of a cactus up someone's a- anyway, he's not great at being patient or sitting still. Reading for long periods of time is a sure way to get him annoyed and jittery. He's just a bit out of control sometimes, he can't help himself. He's very reactive and tends to get violent quite easily.
Hobbies and Interests: he likes blowing up things, so he decided that alchemy and potioneering were useful things to study. He often goes out for runs and he likes ice skating. Playing billiards and poker. He always likes a good brawl or duel and being a cheeky shit to people's faces is also a hobby.

~ Character History ~
The Dolohov family history started a long time ago, back before Antonin was born. His grandfather, Antosha, decided that he would prefer to move to England and start a new life. He never told anyone exactly why, though his younger brother, Gregori, was in the know and never divulged anything. He left with his pregnant wife, Adrianna, and settled in a large keep with dark, empty halls and extensive, misty grounds. It was a lonely place, desolated, but they wanted a lot of children so it worked fine for them. Some mere months after their arrival, they gave birth to a baby boy, Alexandr. Antonin's father. From there, their line flourished in their dark castle, deep in a forest in England.
Vika's story starts just over two decades ago, born a mere ten minutes after his twin sister. While she didn't scream or cry, the boy made a ruckus loud enough to be heard out in the grounds. It didn't matter, while the twins were held by their grandparents, their father sobbed, holding a dead Florence in his arms. Some would think that Antonin would've pulled back from the children after that. Delegated their raising to his own mother. He did no such thing, however, and was unlike most proper pureblood lords in the way that he was always very involved with the children. He changed their clothing and played with them and taught them everything they would need. First their manners, then the proper blood hierarchy, and then enough dark arts to be as strong as he was. Of course, being young, they weren't nearly as powerful as their father. It was the thought that counted.
Raised in a silent, old home with just his sister, Vika learned to make do with the company he could get. Papa was often gone, doing something or another with his old school friends. Babushka and Dedushka really approved of it, apparently, and they always told Vika and Sera not to ask questions. They would know when they were older. So they contented themselves together. Sera reading or wander and him... well, being read to and wandering after her while loudly chattering about anything and everything. He always had the urge to break the silence, he hated how oppressive it was. It was just something he needed to do, wether by screaming or creating loud noises in some way or another. He had to. Not many people understood it, his grandparents definitely didn't and Papa was always far too tired when he got back to pay too much attention. Only Sera tried to calm him down sometimes, knowing he would get in trouble if he acted out too much. That way, they found their balance. Sera too bored with everything and needing to be brought into action, and Vika too bored with everything and needing to be calmed down. They were the same, after all, they just handled things a little differently.
The only times Vika left the estate was to be taken to some friends of his father's or some shops in Diagon Alley. He always liked exploring the crowded places, but he was never allowed to wander off. It was fine, he was something of a sociable boy. Not in the traditional, sweet sense of the word. Rather, he knew very well how to talk to people and could see perfectly well how they reacted to everything. Being as bored as he was, his first reaction was always to see what made people tick and then poke at it until something happened. Usually, it was that the someone tried to lash out, and his father being ever present made that a dangerous thing to do. The twins found it terribly amusing and it became something of a pastime when they were around people who were lower than them. That was to say, most people except their father's friends and those friends' children. With other kids... they were mostly fine. They were just so used to their own rhythm that it was hard to adapt to others' presence around them. It was an effort they made, though. Sometimes.
It was at school that Vika came into his own, in some way. Leaving the desolated estate to go to a castle filled with other children, he really thought it couldn't get any better. It was expected of him to be sorted into Slytherin, and he was, along with his sister. She was the smarter of the two, he knew it, and while he was the heir and had more expectations thrusted on him, he never really took the pressure all too seriously. His family knew perfectly well that if he considered something to be hard, it was sitting still and studying. He could be proper, he could be good and polite and sweet. He just hated it. He was much better with practical subjects and it showed. Naturally adept at casting magic, he was, and it didn't take long before Antonin started to teach both of them all the dark arts they would need. Antonin had long spoken of making sure they were 'ready', though he never said for what. It was in their fifth year that he confided of his old group of friends from school, the ones that he would help cleanse the world. He wanted his children to be part of such a glorious cause, and there was a leader who he had known since they were children. Powerful enough to make it come to fruition. Needless to say, Sera and Vika agreed eagerly and did their best to practice and improve.
It was upon graduation that the big decisions came. While it was easy for Sera to decide what she would do, Vika found it... complicated. He knew he would have to marry, but he was free for many years to come. He knew he would have to have a proper job, but anything in politics like his father was not for him. The delicacies of words might have been amongst his skills, but he figured that if he had to do that for the rest of his life he might as well ask his sister to burn him alive in a fiendfyre. No, he wanted something practical. Something he could do, because static things were beyond him. He decided to go with something in the Ministry that he could combine with external studying, so he started his auror training and then also began an apprenticeship to be an alchemist. Both were things he thought he could truly come to enjoy. Besides, Papa said that an auror would be a good inside source. As long as he could act, it would be useful. So that was what he did.
It was some years later that their father finally said that he would present them to the Dark Lord, to get them involved with the cause. The twins went, keen to start doing their part for their father and pureblood society's glory and prosperity.
