Welcome to Until The End. We are a moderate Harry Potter role-playing site set in the Marauder's Era. Our plot is generally derived from details in the book, but as an AU site we do take liberties most anywhere we like. Those who died in the books can have a second chance at living, and those who lived are always at risk.
Tom Marvolo Riddle has long since disappeared and in his stead Lord Voldemort has risen, bringing a small army with him. The Ministry of Magic has thus far ignored the growing menace that is the Death Eaters and Albus Dumbledore has taken it upon himself to defend the wizarding community from an evil he knows is building. War is coming. Pick a side!

It had been about a month or so since she’d last seen her family and the short chat with her sister on the platform at King’s Cross was not enough for Lyra. She missed Aubrielle terribly, not to mention her parents, who looked as though they would have rather seen their youngest daughter talking with a pile of dragon dung over their eldest daughter; their disowned disappointment. There had been several therapy sessions in the weeks following the brief encounter but no amount of talking with her therapist could make Lyra feel any better. It was quite the opposite, actually. Lyra felt as though she was sinking yet again. Perhaps missing her family, coupled with the lack of response from Julian following her letter in which she wrote that she didn’t expect or want a response (but truthfully, had hoped for something in return) that was making her feel more alone than she had in a long while. Nik’s return eased the loneliness some, and with Emara home for the summer holiday it wasn’t as if she was actually alone very often. But being alone and being lonely were two very different things and picturing her father’s look of disgust at seeing her at King’s Cross made the latter much more prominent.
Taking a booth in the corner, out of the way of the regular foot traffic that moved through the pub, Lyra watched the other patrons. They weren’t of much interest, really, but there was nothing else to do besides people watch. She needed to get out of her flat for a bit, the memories were starting to overwhelm her again as they did from time to time. Memories of Julian mingled with her father dropping her trunk onto the lounge room floor and telling her not to come round anymore. It was all heartache and Lyra knew if she didn’t get out of there she’d end up cutting herself again. Not that she’d stopped completely since the accident that landed her in St Mungo’s. Therapy helped but it didn’t stop it altogether. She had fresh scars on her thighs, covered by an enchantment, but she’d made none today. Today, she stared at strangers and evaluated them, not expecting to see a familiar face pass through.

Aubrielle was not a good liar, though those skills were slowly becoming more advanced the more she wanted to see Lyra, she missed her sister dearly, she was after all the only one she could talk to, seeing her at Kings Cross was emotional for her, she tried her best not to cry and keep a straight face, if she hadn't her parents would be less than impressed, she'd cause a scene and embarrass everybody around her. Her parents hated that, they hated being seen as lesser than anybody else, it was like they didn't want anybody to view them as the lie they had created for themselves, though what really annoyed Aubrielle was how Lyra was being treated, she was her big sister, she deserved respect, she hadn't even met Aubrielle's fiancé, and Aubrielle wanted her approval more than anything, she also wanted to tell her in person though her parents had jumped the gun and spread the news all over, in the newspaper, to their friends and even had a party, it was more embarrassing than anything, Aubrielle didn't like that much attention.
Being banned from almost everything during the summer was boring, Aubrielle had been let out - rather reluctantly by her mum after hours of begging her to let her go out for some ice cream though that's not what she really wanted, she just wanted to get out and go somewhere, and that place was Diagon Ally, however she hadn't been entirely truthful, she ended up in the Leaky Cauldron, despite the constant craving for ice cream, she so badly wanted a butterbeer, that's how she ended up there, a spontaneous trip had lead her to her sister, perhaps fate was working in her favour leading her to the person she wanted to see the most.
Taking the seat opposite Lyra, it was such a surprise, Aubrielle couldn't contain her joy, she almost wanted to reach out and hug her, however decided that it wouldn't be the best of ideas if Lyra hadn't noticed her yet. "Did you miss me that much that you've starting staring into space hoping I'll keep you company?" She was being cheeky, she always felt she could be with Lyra, she wouldn't take it personally or tell her to behave.
