Welcome to Until The End. We are a moderate Harry Potter role-playing site set in the Marauder's Era. Our plot is generally derived from details in the book, but as an AU site we do take liberties most anywhere we like. Those who died in the books can have a second chance at living, and those who lived are always at risk.
Tom Marvolo Riddle has long since disappeared and in his stead Lord Voldemort has risen, bringing a small army with him. The Ministry of Magic has thus far ignored the growing menace that is the Death Eaters and Albus Dumbledore has taken it upon himself to defend the wizarding community from an evil he knows is building. War is coming. Pick a side!

Christian Anthony Ward
~ Portrait ~
~ Basics ~
Born: 22 August 1936 Age: 38 Alignment: Dark Occupation: Runs the "family business" and hit wizard for Lord Voldemort Blood Status: Pureblood House: Slytherin Relationship: Married to Diana Marie Ward Face Claim:Owen, Clive
Appearance:
Christian has a well-worn face with distinguished wrinkles beginning to form around his eyes. He has a strong jaw which sharpens when he is angered. His hair is kept long enough to be styled with trimmed sideburns. He has a tattoo of a snake erupting from the mouth of a skull on his left forearm that is kept hidden with a spell, and the words 'as I was' inked into his ribs, his family motto.
~ Personality ~
Patronus: Irish Brown Bear; Christian cannot produce a patronus, but if he could he would summon the mighty bear with a simple memory of lying in bed, Diana wrapped in his arms fast asleep, and feeling his son moving around in her belly.
Mirror of Erised: This has changed over the last year. If you had asked Christian at the beginning on 1974, he would have said that he most desired a full gringotts vault and a well-run business. Currently, Christian sees his family together; Diana, Alyx, baby Liam, and his mum, having tea - without Roselyn's loving criticisms.
Boggart: Himself killing Diana.
Christian had always been something of a ladies man, never keeping one witch around long enough to form a mutual attachment. In his younger years he would have been considered a player, and now well into his thirties he still did just fine with the fairer sex. It was considered a known fact among his mother’s friends that Christian wasn’t the type to settle down; the old bitties sympathized with Roselyn Ward, reminding her that Christian was a good man and driven in his work. “Not every man is meant to be a family man,” they assured her. Driven by his work was a phrase Christian had heard often. He was good at his job, though few truly knew what his job entailed. Most thought of him as head of a security company, and in that light he was painted as an upstanding citizen. For the most part, that view was correct. But it was affinity for the Dark Arts and his unmatchable talent for killing that really drove the majority of “the family business”.
Christian is definitely the sort of bloke that will strike first and ask questions later, especially when it comes to the people he loves or his beliefs. He has quite an explosive temper but has learned to refrain from compulsive actions in front of anyone import like his mum, business prospects, or the Dark Lord. As easily angered as Christian could be, he is also a man of principle. Christian’s loyalty is rarely called into question, and his drive to ensure the ones he cares for are protected in ferocious – to put it mildly. Until recently, the list of people Christian truly cared for started and ended with his parents.
Raised in a traditional pureblood household and feeling strongly in some of Lord Voldemort’s promises to the magical community, Christian joined the Knights of Walpurgis more as a logical endeavor than one of the heart. It was clear to Christian that a war was on the horizon and the odds were in the favor of this ruthless wizard. He made his allegiance known and Lord Voldemort quickly took a liking to the trained killer. He became an assassin for the Death Eaters and his skills were world renowned. He never failed to deliver on a job, until she walked through the door.
Diana turned Christian’s world upside down and as such he discovered another side to his personality. Devoted lover and father. The once promiscuous wizard had become a one-woman man (even before the life bond forced him to be so) and the knowledge that he had a daughter somewhere in the world came him a renewed sense of purpose. Christian, the rough, rugged, and often times hostile assassin, was also a loving, caring man who found joy in pressing his hand to his wife’s pregnant stomach and feeling his son wriggle around.

~ Character History ~
Christian was a shining example of a Slytherin student. As a beater for his house quidditch team, he did anything he could to help win the game. He charmed his professors so that most of them enjoyed him, if not though, he was the perfect student. But in his spare time he schemed with his friends in order to gain favor with the girls. He dated many of the girls at Hogwarts, both in and out of his house. None of them really catching his eye enough to be taken seriously for too long.
When he was about 21 he had a week long affair with a girl whom he had apparently gone to school with, though she was younger and the only memories of her he could muster were that she used to follow him around like a lost puppy – Diana Crawford. She was attractive enough and more than willing, so he kept her to play with for as long as he needed, but when his father ordered him to begin training to run the family business, Christian left without a word to the witch who apparently thought they would live happily ever after. Unbeknownst to Christian, he sired a daughter that would end up in an orphanage; Alyxandria Rye.
Christian excelled at Defense against the Dark Arts and studied the subject beyond school, eventually testing his penchant for dark magic. He found it suited him, and his father was pleased as it would help when Christian took over the family business at only 25. Christian was now in charge of a brute squad who offered “protection” to gullible citizens too dumb to understand that they were paying for his goons to not attack them.
Christian joined the Knight of Walpurgis - later known as the Death Eaters - in his early 20's and almost instantly Lord Voldemort recognized his abilities and began using him as an assassin, eliminating any threats to the cause that the other Death Eaters were unable to take out.
It was hardly even a year ago when an older, more alluring Diana Crawford reemerged and caught Christian's eye. She wanted little to do with him and that would have been the end of it had it not been for Copperbottom's business proposal only the very next day. Christian agreed to the contract on Diana's life, extending the due date a few weeks as he was now intrigued as to how this shy and naive beauty he once holed up with in a ruddy hotel room for a week had gotten herself mixed up with a ruthless businesswizard like Copperbottom, mixed up to the point that she was needed to be dead and the powers that be saw fit to hire the greatest hit wizard in Britain to get the job done.
The sexual chemistry between Diana and Christian had only intensified since their affair more than 15 years prior, but Diana was guarded and took advantage of Christian's exhaustion, managing to bind him and threatened to obliviate him. In her conceitedness, Diana divuledged her plans, and her secret, thinking an obliviated Christian would leave none the wiser, but in confessing Christian's lovechild was lost and in danger, Diana gained a powerful ally.
The pair devised a plan to eliminate the threats to Diana's - and ultimately their daughter, Alyx's - safety, and in doing so they fell in love. Complicatedly in love. Fighting more than they spoke, and shagging more than they fought, Diana and Christian were a tumultuous couple, but a lethal combination. A drunken/drugged rendezvous on a cruise ship following their assassination of a high prized target, led to Christian and Diana making vows in front of the ship's captain and sealing their marriage with an ill-conceived life-bond.
All was going to plan until Diana, with the help of her friend Derek Burke (a ladies man who was smitten by the vixen), discovered that Christian held a contract on her life - one he had no intentions of fulfilling, and in a "classically Diana" move, her emotions overtook common sense and she obliviated Christian, wiping three months of his memories completely, along with the knowledge that he had a daughter, a son on the way, and that he was married and inexplicably bonded to this woman he couldn't remember.
Unable to refrain from seeing him, Diana broke her own rules and sought out the man she loved, striking up another relationship. This time it was Christian who was suspicious of Diana, tormenting her with his hot and cold attitude and his domineering personality, having no memories of his love for her or their adventures together to soften his callous personality towards her.
