Welcome to Until The End. We are a moderate Harry Potter role-playing site set in the Marauder's Era. Our plot is generally derived from details in the book, but as an AU site we do take liberties most anywhere we like. Those who died in the books can have a second chance at living, and those who lived are always at risk.
Tom Marvolo Riddle has long since disappeared and in his stead Lord Voldemort has risen, bringing a small army with him. The Ministry of Magic has thus far ignored the growing menace that is the Death Eaters and Albus Dumbledore has taken it upon himself to defend the wizarding community from an evil he knows is building. War is coming. Pick a side!

Christine Aine Sayre
~ Portrait ~
~ Basics ~
Born: 9th of December, 1957 Age: 17 Alignment: Neutral Occupation: Student Blood Status: Pureblood House: Gryffindor Relationship: Single Face Claim: Tonkin, Phoebe
Appearance:
She's a beautiful girl that looks older than she is, or perhaps she just acts like it. She's taken on different styles of clothing and appearances the more she's traveled as she likes to blend in with the culture wherever she finds herself. She has large doe eyes that typically work on most men, and she absolutely glows when she's happy.
~ Personality ~
Patronus: Black Bear; Christine's happiest memory is her father waiting at the dock for her uncle's ship. It's a tradition. They spend the whole day together before she leaves then he sees her off, and he's always waiting for her when she returns. She knows he hates letting her go, and she hates leaving him, but they both know she's too free spirited to stay in one place for long.
Mirror of Erised: She sees herself at the helm of her own ship, rather than the one her uncle captains.
Boggart: Never finding love and her father's disappointment. Her boggart turns into James Sayre (her father), berating her the way she saw her cousin's mother berating Emara(her cousin). It would never happen, as her father adores her beyond reason, but it was the first time she realized that not all parents love their children.
Christine has a wild and free heart. She is self sufficient and prefers to do things by herself. She's adept at getting her way. True to her Irish heritage she is stubborn and fierce. She has immense courage, particularly when confronted with conflict, but that doesn't always lead to good decisions.
Christine spent most of her young life being indulged as the baby girl of the Sayre Household. Her father, James, had three other brothers, all of whom Christine easily wrapped around her finger and her mother, Leonie, had two brothers who could never say no to the strong-willed child. This led to a fiercely independent spirit, and quite a bit of "good natured" spoiledness.
While she was indulged often, she was also surrounded by love, warmth and kindness, curbing some of the less desirable traits she could have had.
Despite her family's wealth and status, Christine wasn't brought up to value material things or use her position in life to look down upon others. Her mother had often said that because she was privileged she had a responsibility to care for others, and the Sayre's were resolute when it came to honor and responsibility.
While the Sayres maintained proper appearances in society, inside the home was quite the opposite. Irish blood often produced Irish tempers to match, and they were a passionate lot. It wasn't uncommon to hear yelling or see a good old-fashioned brawl between the brothers who loved one another beyond reason, it was just how the family communicated. Thus, Christine learned early how to jump in and fight for what she loved, much to the horror of her Southern American “Genteel”-raised mother (who had no less passion or ferocity).
But it wasn't just her father's side.
Her uncles on her mother's side grew up on a plantation in the deep south of Louisiana but would often scamper off on adventures throughout the Bayou. Leonie’s brothers put roots down in England to be close to their sister and to keep an eye on her new husband. They even trained to be Aurors and joined the department. Though they had no need for occupations monetarily, the need to be occupied was strong, and the excitement of chasing dark wizards down proved alluring, though neither brother particularly favored paperwork.
They used their new occupations to further harass (in a loving fashion) Christine’s father who had “stolen” their baby sister. According to her mother, it was love at first sight. Even though there were some battles to face, love conquered all. The pair were married when Leonie was just 17. Christine’s older brother was born when Leonie was still 17, which shed light on some of the “battles to face” as well as the “love at first sight”. But Christine found it all so horribly romantic.
She couldn’t quite reconcile her boring – yet incredibly handsome and loving – father fit as the dashing and dangerous aristocrat mother had painted, but it was still the romantic story that Christine held on a pedestal for her own romantic life. It would be hard for reality to meet her rather high expectations – in all areas of life.
As a child she would beg her uncles to tell her stories of the Bayou, and would make them reenact their adventures, which they happily did on the vast Sayre estate.
Christine’s passion for adventure grew as she did, and soon traveling with her parents became too mundane. When she was seven she had finally coerced and cajoled her parents into allowing her uncles to take her back to their family's plantation for the summer. At nine they allowed her to sail with her father’s brother on his ship, a tradition she has kept every year.
When she turned eleven she received her Hogwarts letter. She was sorted into Gryffindor, but developed relationships in every house, even Slytherin – whom her eldest uncle was a well-respected alum.
At first, she thought school would be boring compared to her adventures with her family, but she soon learned otherwise. School was fascinating! As with any adventure, Christine threw herself whole heartedly into the fray, joining the quidditch team, and being selected as a prefect.
She wanted to do her Ravenclaw father proud and took advanced classes. For the most part she did exceedingly well. She didn’t have the talent for Alchemy or Arithmancy, but she studied hard and Exceeded on her O.W.L.s. She was above average in Transfiguration and Potions, excellent in Charms, and held the most promise in Ancient Runes and Defense of the Dark Arts – possibly due to the mock duels she had with her uncles and the traveling she had done throughout her life.
As it stand now, Christine is most excited about her upcoming travel arrangements with her uncle to Egypt.
